I Got Tattooed....Again, Again....

Yesterday I got my half-sleeve tattoo worked on again.

This piece has been worked on for many months now. I was hoping we’d get it finished yesterday, but unfortunately my skin could only take a couple of hours worth of tattooing before I just bled like a stuck pig.

So, I’ve got one more session and then…it should be complete.

The artist behind the needle is Dawn Grace at the Tattoo Factory in Uptown Chicago.

Here’s the original outline she did and the meaning behind the tattoo.

The colors on the flowers are definitely not done…she’s still got some work to do on them, but here’s how the piece looks today.

I must say I'm jealous as hell. Was going to start my half sleeve of milestone bliss - uber excited doesn't even cover it and now it must be postponed. I'm rather leery of having 13 tats and feel the need to increase to 14 rather than have such an unlucky number - but I digress

NICE. I have the same sort of thing on my right shoulder. My girls' birth flowers. Hoping to go back soon and get mine and the husband's flowers on my left shoulder.
There's some really *ahem* SPECIAL video on my blog. Consists of me making funny faces while my artist worked on my shoulder blade. Search for tattoo and it should come right up, if you're so inclined. :)
